This revelation alarmed the Chief Minister, prompting him to instruct senior officials to take immediate action.

During the phone call with the complainant, it was disclosed that their electricity bill had been excessively high for the past three months. The complainant had filed a complaint and received a call from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). However, the call came a week after the complaint was lodged, causing further frustration.

Upon learning about this delay, Chief Minister Dhami took matters into his own hands. He directed senior officials to address the issue promptly, emphasizing its seriousness. He stated, “This is a very serious issue. The electricity bill has been unusually high for the past three months, yet no action has been taken so far. Either the District Magistrate (DM) or the Secretary will oversee this. This matter needs immediate resolution. It is unacceptable for a simple issue like this to remain pending for three months. If it cannot be resolved, escalate it immediately. Some complaints have been pending for more than 15 days.”

By intervening in this specific case, Chief Minister Dhami demonstrated his hands-on approach to governance and his commitment to ensuring that the concerns of the people are addressed promptly and efficiently. His strong words and swift action serve as a reminder to officials that negligence and delays will not be tolerated under his leadership.
