Actor Govinda Might Join Lok Sabha: A Bollywood Star’s Comeback into Indian Politics 2024

New Delhi: There’s talk that Bollywood actor Govinda might re-enter politics. People are saying Govinda’s name is being talked about for the North-West Mumbai Lok Sabha seat. He may join the Shiv Sena party with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.


Recently, He met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his Varsha residence, sparking rumors about his return to politics. He previously ran for and won in the Lok Sabha elections with the Congress party.
Udhav Thackeray from the Mahavikas Aghadi announced Amol Kirtikar’s name for the North-West seat. It’s said that Shiv Sena is considering him to replace the current MP Gajanan Kirtikar because of his age.
Earlier, there were talks with Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, and Nana Patekar for this role, but Akshay and Nana said no, and Madhuri Dixit didn’t show interest.


In 2004, He ran for elections in the North Mumbai Lok Sabha seat and beat BJP’s Ram Naik. His win in 2004 earned him the nickname ‘giant killer’.
